Paul Petersen

Officer Petersen is a graduate of Bureau Valley High School in Manlius, IL. He attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he studied Water and Waste Water Treatment. He also enlisted in the United States Army National Guard in 2006 serving until 2012 deployed to Afghanistan in 2008 to 2009. He was hired by Mendota Police Department in January of 2017 where he served as a patrolman and lead investigator until February of 2023 when he was hired by Oglesby Police Department and now protects and serves the citizens of Oglesby, IL. He also is an ITOA certified Master Tactical Patrol Officer and Instructor for MTU7.
